From June to September, visitors can witness the flowering of unusual aquatic flowers.
The area of the chapel and the upper part of the garden will be the setting for magnificent water lilies, originally from Asia, now widespread throughout the world. You will be able to admire the Director Moore water lilies, with their characteristic blue colour veined with purple, and the Lotus water lilies, which since ancient times populated the ponds of the Nile Valley and were an example of perfection and a symbol of immortality for the ancient Egyptians.
Another aquatic flower at this time of year is the Lotus flower, also called Nelumbo, characterized by large, showy flowers. This species, known as Sacred Lotus (nelumbo nucifera) is used in Chinese and Ayurveda medicine and in Asian cuisine. Furthermore, it is considered a sacred flower for its symbolism in Buddhism and Hinduism. In particular, in Buddhism it is a symbol of the essence of human life.
