24th June – The hidden corners of the Gardens

Tuesday, June 24th at 7:00 pm.

Meeting to discover the hidden corners of the Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto, together with the Botanical Curator Dr. Fabrizio Butté.

Reservations are mandatory, by email turismo@villataranto.it

A maximum of 25 people are allowed, at a cost of € 20 per person.

The visit takes place when the park is closed. The area is exclusively dedicated.

The welcome will take place in the meeting area, with a brief introduction to the activity.

The gardens will be visited by accessing areas normally closed to visitors. Comfortable shoes are recommended to be able to walk outside of the pedestrian paths.

Visitors will discover secrets, peculiarities and curiosities about the gardens. In addition, they will learn how the technical activities are organised. The choice of annual plants, the production, cultivation and management of trees, shrubs and new plants. The Botanical Curator Dr. Butté will also explaine how the climate changes affect the management and the way the gardeners control the diseases without pesticides (a way that can also be practiced privately). These and many other topics await you!

ON JULY 29th, 30th, AND 31st,
THE GARDENS WILL BE OPEN AS FOLLOWING:

The entrance will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Via Vittorio Veneto 111 (pedestrian access only, internal parking will not be available).

Disabled facilities will not be available.

Exit from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. will be from Via Prossano 22.

This change is necessary to allow the partial cuttings of the monumental oak tree located in the entrance area.
