Davidia Involucrata

The specimen planted in 1938 by the Infante of Spain Don Jaime on the “Personalities Lawn” has assumed such a size and appearance that it is of interest even in the absence of its curious, showy inflorescences. It is its spectacular blossoms that gives it the common name of “handkerchief tree” or “dove tree”. Plant native to China.
